THE SOLER: a guide of high mountain Nepali meets the students of the school group François Arago Monday, October 12, 2015, the students of the school group François Arago had the pleasure of meeting Ganga TAMANG, guide of high Nepali montage of passage in our department. This meeting with the children was organized in agreement with the principal of the school, Laurence PENDELIAU attracted by the pedagogical scope of such an interview. At the origin of this initiative, three passionate extreme hikers, François RESPAUD, municipal agent at Soler, Florent LAMARQUE and Bernard FABRE, business leaders. Together, they meet regularly to tackle the great peaks of the Himalayas with their faithful guide and now friend Ganga TAMANG. For nearly 2 hours, 2 classes of CM2 were carried away on the snowy slopes of the roof of the world thanks to the intensity of his story lined with stories and stories of adventurers. Her presentation was illustrated by a video montage that allowed children to discover the beauty and grandeur of landscapes from the green valleys to the white desert of high peaks. During his speech Ganga TAMANG also sensitized schoolchildren on one of the most tragic events that has come to light in the Kathmandu region, namely the terrible earthquakes that took place last spring. As a true ambassador, Ganga TAMANG, takes advantage of his stay in France to promote tourism in his country which has experienced a drop in attendance related to these seismic events. After this stop in our town, he will fly to Albertville to promote all the riches of Nepal as part of an international conference entitled "The great bivouac, the festival of travelers" and bringing together professionals and lovers of trips. "I met Mr Ganga Bdr Tamnag some month ago, when I try to organise a trip around Mount Kailash in Tibet. As I could not get the permit from China, he offers me to go to Mustang, a small Tibetan district in Northern part of Nepal that I was dreaming to visit for more than 30 years, and around the Annapurna where I went alone 33 years ago.

We had only 10 days time but we made it to start from Lukla and arrive on the feet of the Top of the World and also on Kala Patthar.
